Dark Pokemon have very high attack power, and can easily do massive damage from the start. The only dark Pokemon in high demand and limited supply would be Dark Gastly. Mostly because of the fact that a level 16 Dark Gastly can wipe out Sabrina's team, which is very good.
Shiny Pokemon have very high health points (hit points), and are not as popular as dark Pokemon. Though some Shiny Legendaries (Mostly Regice & Suicune) are wanted, but are again in limited supply. The highest HP your Pokemon crater can have is 400, unless you have a Shiny Pokemon. (Shiny Pokemon's max HP is capped at 500).

The object of this game is to move around on a map (by click the arrows on the compass below it). You'll then hopefully stumble upon a Pokemon, in which you'll be asked if you'd like to battle it. The battle system is fairly easy to understand as it's just like the videogames. You may use items in battle, including different types of Pokeballs. Though most people just use Masterballs because they're awfully cheap for their 100% capture rate.
Though most people collect Pokemon crater for the sake of having their favorites, some seek as many as Possible to boost up their point score. The more experience you have (from the total of experience from all you Pokemon) the higher your points will be. There is no reward for appearing on the Top Score list, but it does give you something to boast about on the forums.
Something amazing that hasn't been in any Pokemon game before is the fact that this is an MMORPG. And the fact that you're playing along with thousands of Pokemon fans that are all doing the same as you.

There is also several special Dratini forms that have gained high popularity on the site. Their demand was extremly high in Winter 2006, but has since died down as the supply has increased greatly since the release of the Ice Caverns map.
At times the site can lag greatly, even while using a cable modem. The reason for this is the fact that their are over 8,000 people playing during the day (at any given moment). And at night [3AM-4AM est] there are only 3,000 - 5,000 people playing. It's best to play on the map with the berries, as it always has less than 200 people on it. Most maps (such as the Ice Caverns) attract near 40% (2,000+) people on the game. Therefore you shouldn't play here unless it's a weekday in the AM hours. (This is when half the game's players are sleeping. And the site runs extremly fast].

Another cool feature is the fact that you can teach your Pokemon unique moves that they could never be taught in the videogames. How about teaching your Deoxys the pointless move Splash? Or want to teach your Diglett how to use the powerful Fissure? In late April 2006 the new attack system was added. This allows you to buy TMs (For extremly high prices) to teach to your Pokemon crater. TM prices range from 1,000 - 300,000, and are sometimes worth the high cost. People are starting to become more worried about a Pokemon's attacks than it's color or type.
There has however been some controvery over the ads that appear on the top and side of the site. Some of the ads show ads with some suggestive sexual content that some parents may not approve of. There are ads for online dating sites that can become quite intruding. (The ads that rollover and cover the screen, even when you're not hovering over them).
Pokemon Crater has been around for a very long time, and it's gaining more and more members each day. I strongly urge the die-hard fans of Pokemon to play this, as it's alot better than the videogames. I can assure you that you will never become bored while playing.

..... Pokemon Crater - One of my favorites before, and even went to #1 in the topsites! But soon, they started dropping. Why? The webmaster (known as Aaron or Scyther) stopped updating. Their content is well below Pokemon Dome's! Every time they change their layout, they take off information. And so, not only are there no updates, but more stuff are taken down. Before, they had a PokeDex which sucked, HTML guide, Pokemon pictures, and some more stuff. Now all they have is that Battle Arena, Message Board (taken down too), Store, and little info on the Games, Anime, and TCG. Oh yeah, the Fan Section too. But compare that to other big Pokemon Sites. Even Pokemon Dome has more fan submitted stuff than them! Without the Battle Arena and Message Board, Pokemon Crater is nothing. Also, I've seen some 7 year old kids on the Battle Arena in a library. I'm sure most are kids who go there.

.....Pokemon crater - ....i think this game si awsome its reli good how u can battle other people live when u no when ur playing a pokemon game and uv beaten everyone and have no one else to beat in this game ur sure to find someone ither stronger or as strong as u soo it keeps u the game fresh also being able to battle ALL the gym leaders is a clever idea thats why i give this game 10 on everything

.....Pokemon crater - ....This is my favorite online place to go. It is really fun because you can not only catch practically all the existing pokemon, but you can trade, battle, and message other players. A great game!!!
....Pokemon crater - ....Unbelievably fun game! It's very easy to play. Anyone should be able to login or register and get started in no time at all. The whole interface is smooth and quick.
The only major problem I had with the game is the constant "Too Many Connections" message. Also, some of the pokemon need their types fixed since ground Pokemon can be paralyzed. -_-
Still a great game, nonetheless. I don't know why that one user gave this game a 1 but the site did make a major update in the interface so it's definitely worth another look if you've already tried it.

Whats pokemon crater?
Well, if it's a GBA game like the others then here's how to get those pokemon in Emerald...
Deoxys:Get the Aurora ticket and go to Birth Island. The aurora ticket is available only through Nintendo events and GameShark/Action Replay.
Mew:Old Sea map and go to Faraway island. To get the Old Sea Map, you do the same way as above. There's a rumour that in pokemon Leaf Green/Fire Red that it's released wild in Cerulean Cave when you beat the Elite Four 12 times.
